NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The Fayette County Parks and Recreation Commission will conduct a series of Public Hearings during their regularly scheduled meetings to be held on Tuesdays, July 8, August 12, September 9, and October 14, 7:00 p.m. These meetings will be held at the Activities House located at 980 Redwine Road, Fayetteville, Georgia 30215. The purpose of these hearings is for the Recreation Commission to receive citizen input regarding the policies, procedures, relationships and interaction between the Fayette County Parks and Recreation Department, the Recreation Commission, and Fayette County Youth Athletic Associations and others who utilize county-owned park facilities. The public is invited to attend and to comment.

Fayette Animal Shelter to offer new services

Fayetteville, GA – On July 1, 2008, the Fayette Animal Shelter will begin offering new services and will be implementing a new fee schedule. Throughout the past 4 years, the shelter has revamped many of its shelter and field services and increased standards to attempt to raise the rate of pet adoption.
